Pedals of Courage

I know it has been a while since I have updated but the world is crazy right now. So much has happened and 2020 was supposed to be THE YEAR!!!! I was hoping to be going to Nationals for swimming this season, It was supposed to be an Olympic year and everyone was excited! Anyways plans changed. 2020 clearly had other plans for the world.
I don't know how much more clearly I can state this:

WEAR A MASK!!! Wash your hands. SOCIAL DISTANCE!!!! You can miss that party that you always go to, People's lives are in danger by you going!
We are the future and there are kids and people out there seriously sick from COVID-19. I started this charity to help kids with cancer and I want everyone to help protect them too! This is not a joke. Please do your part and help protect our world even if other people are not.

Instead of asking for presents for my birthday, I always ask to donate money & toys for children fighting cancer. My name is Lexi and I'm 12 years old. Help me out.  Donate new riding toys such as plasma cars, scooters, and tricycles or money to my organization Pedals of Courage.

I am also selling Yeti cups to support TRF by Imagine Dragons
Please watch this song by Imagine Dragons in honor of Tyler Robison and check out my Help for TRF Web page!

About Me

Hi I’m Lexi. I’m 13 years old, and I’m really interested in cancer cells. I WILL cure cancer one day! I’d like to be an oncologist and researcher with lab mice and help fight against cancer. My interest started when my cousin Melissa lost her battle with AML Leukemia when she was only 3 years old.

I'm not just interested in the cancer cells - I’m also very in-tune with keeping kids strong and active during treatment. I started Pedals for Courage because while my cousin was at CHOA in Atlanta, we always rode bikes, scooters, tricycles, plasma cars, etc together both at home and in the hospital halls to stay active and happy.  When visiting St. Jude, we did similar activities.

However, when Melissa arrived for treatments at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, things were different.  There was only 1 tricycle for all of the kids to share. Unfortunately, she was too sick for me to visit her while she was there. After she passed away, I believed that she was strong in her cancer fight because she was active and loved to ride her plasma cars and tricycles. I want other kids who are fighting this horrible disease to be strong too...so they can fight long enough for ME to find the cancer cure.

That’s why I’ve started Pedals of Courage. Please help me make this project great!
